Mr. Hughes has provided support of non-standard Network solutions for large commercial and U.S. government customers. Mr. Hughes’ work includes integrating IP transit designs utilizing Cisco routers, VOIP Gateways and Nortel voice switches. He has extensive experience in migrating large networks from legacy systems such as SNA, TDM, and analog voice to state of the art internetworking solutions using Cisco routers and IP transit. Ongoing support of these networks included providing circuit design, equipment capabilities assessments, pricing, Life Cycle Engineering support, Project Management, and field support. In addition, Jim is an expert on other traditional forms of transit including, inverse multiplexers, legacy TDM systems such as Newbridge (now Alcatel), Timeplex, and NET. Jim earned a BS Electrical Engineering Technology from The Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey.
